Samsung Email Administrator consent is required AADSTS90094 / AADSTS90056 messages

I'm an admin for a company and one of our users today reported that they're now getting the following screen and cant sign in to view their emails on the phone,

This was not the case before yesterday so something has changed, the Azure logs show this as below.

While we know we can grant the permissions for the App in AD were concerned as to the extent of permissions required and would love to get a bit more information on what these are actually required for?

Seems very excessive? to confirm the same message appears for myself when trying to connect to office365 through the Samsung email app

 

the user has also sent the below screenshot which has only occurred in the same time frame and both the mentioned errors happen on both her work and personal devices.

Same issue. Worked until today. Skype & Teams both work on the device with no issues.

 

I am trying to switch to Outlook app. It is stuck in loading. I don't like the app since it doesn't share the calendar & contacts with Android.
