RIP Bixby

So after trying (and I mean really trying) to use Bixby as my assistant I have finally turned it off. Obviously I can't delete Bixby, but if I could, I would. Simple things were just a nightmare to do, which Google assistant with Google apps does with ease. I really wanted to use the reminder app as I like the layout, and wanted to use the Microsoft apps seeing as I have a subscription. However, I found simpe reminders using Bixby would miss out vital information, like the date I needed reminding! 

So I have gone with Google apps, put Gemini as my default assistant and now things are all good. The only apps I have kept are the clock, phone , contacts app, and samsung notes. If gemini could work with notes it would be perfect. I kept Samsung notes because it's much cleaner and feels better than Keep Notes.

Anyway, my questions.

 1. Why doesnt Samsung finally get rid of Bixby and let Gemini control all Samsung apps?

 2. Does anyone actually fully use Bixby? If so, why and how the hell did you make it work!

I used Bixby all the time on my phone and watch. It works perfectly every time. All I have done is enable all settings and allow everything it asks for. Speak clearly and make sure you're the only one speaking when you're asking something or it can get confused! Hope you try it again. I find that Google drains my battery... It always has done no matter the device I use it on. By the way, my phone is the S24 FE and the watch is the FE too (I also have the Watch 4)

FE combo, i like it.
Yeah maybe I'm too impatient. Gemini just works no matter what. Bixby is just too frustrating for me.
I have the Z flip 6, watch 7 44mm and Buds Pro 3. Having come over from the Iphone I am loving it. Although Google assistant is on the watch and Gemini is on the phone. Still I can't fault the experience now I've found something that works for me. Never know I may try Bixby again, but that is why is switched over, the luxury of choice.

I'm glad you have something that works for you. Makes life so much easier! I tried the iPhone once, but I had to give it back after two weeks. I found it too restrictive. I couldn't get on with it. I've always loved Samsung and never had any problems with any of their products or customer service. Gemini is good, never used Google Assistant properly because of the battery issue I face. Just like your comment with Bixby, I may try Google Assistant again... Especially if Amazon starts charging for Alexa 😂

I also use Gemini on my Galaxy S20 FE. It may drain my battery more and but it is better than Bixby.

Well, I am going to give Bixby another go, but have also got Google Gemini to use if needed. I've gone back to samsung apps, mail, calendar, and reminders to see how Bixby performs. I already use the gallery and notes app, so hopefully samsung win me back.
