Problem in OPENING APPS

I have just bought a s24 ultra phone and I am very disappointed with its performance.

I have downloaded my banking app and it just will not open. I have removed my Bitdefender app in case that was the problem, but to no avail.

I uninstalled the banking app from my new s24 and my old s21 mobile phones and then reinstalled them at the same time. By the time the app was installed on the s21 the s24 was still struggling at 57%

When the app is eventually installed on the s24 it seems to take forever to move from the opening page to the log on page.  After then clicking on the log on link a new page appears with terms and conditions and after then clicking on the accept bar the app goes into cyberspace with a message stating "loading  just a moment please". After 5 minutes a message appears stating "that didn't work"

 

Any advice on resolving this problem would be appreciated

Whenever I buy a new phone. I never recover my apps or settings as they always seems to cause issues.

I start my phone from scratch and install apps as and when needed. The rest can be recovered like photos, contacts etc.

For your issues.

1. Make sure you are on the latest July update and all other apps in both Samsung and Google store are up to date.

2. You could try uninstalling the app and Reset your settings only and then reinstall the app
( This would mean you have to setup your WiFi etc again.)

3. Do a Wipe Cache ( check on YouTube how to do it)

4. Samung has strong Security so I'm not sure what bitfender app is offering you and could be the culprit as well.

PS. Do make sure all app permissions are given as well.

Are you able to log into your bank successfully using one of your browser apps?

The only other thing I can think off besides @GoanGeek excellent advice is that DNS thing

Settings>connections >more connection settings >Private DNS. Ensure this is set to Automatic

Disable all ad blockers
Disable or re-configure any VPNs

Check if your banking app is fully compatible with S24 64 bit OS. Your old S21 used 32 bit apps, so check you have the latest version of the app installed

I have the same problem with the Ryanair app

No problem in installing and opening the app on my s21. Cannot open the app on my s24

Again, possibly not fully optimised for the S24. Reach out to the developers.

I suggest you ask for a replacement as there seems to be an issue with said phone. My dad uses an s24 ultra and it works perfectly. He used smart switch to basically copy and paste his s23 ultra to the s24ultra. I suggest you use smart switch next time as it is far easier to transfer and it is owned by samsung so is also safe and free

You will be pleased to know that after following your advice I have managed to overcome the problems of opening my apps. Even an old codger like me with limited technical knowledge found it easy to follow your instructions
