People can't hear me when I answer

I have seen so many people log they have this issue - has it been fixed yet. All my family have Samsungs and since the update contacting each other can be extremely frustrating.

try to clean the microphone usually is because of that!

Aaahhh NO!

when someone rings me I can hear them but they can't hear me. I can call them straight back and we can hear each other just fine. It is definitely not the mic.

What's the point of posting here, there are so many similar posts and NO solution

That is strange @GaleJoy . Is the coverage good in your area when that happens? 

Let's try to run a hardware test on your phone to see if the receiver is working correctly. To do this, you just need to follow the steps listed below:

1. From the phone dialler, enter *#0283#.
2. Select RCV Packet Loopback ON (it may appear as Start : RCV_1stMic on some devices).

Say a few words as if you were on a call. Can you hear your voice?
