notifications not opening

I have the following problem:

I do receive notifications so that is not the problem

(it shows the app icon and so as well)

But when I click the notification it does not open (or show the complete notification), instead it just opens the app and removes the notification

what I would like is that it shows the complete notification or the link to the website the notification links to. 

what setting could cause this?

xcover pro, Android 12 one ui4.1 all to the latest versions

I noticed that it is related to the dark mode setting, if dark mode is off it works fine if dark mode is off it doesn't open links from in notifications
