Getting my calendar onto new phone?

Hi I am not the most techie person and have used smart switch to move pretty much everything from my S8+ to my S9. Everything came over except the calendar. Had another play with it and now all the birthdays and anniversaries are there but nothing else. Tried smart switch again just for the calendar and it failed and told me to come here! Hope you can help 👍🥰

If you've synced and backed up your account fully your calendar saves and dates should move over to your new phone once signed in and set up has finished
