@maisy: Sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Fingerprint Scanner. Please can you take the following into account when using this feature.
- Make sure your hands are clean and dry
- Remove any non-Samsung cases, covers or protective films to see if this helps
- Perform a Soft Reset by pressing the Volume Down and Power buttons together until the phone restarts, to see if this helps the accuracy of the scanner
- Make sure the phone is on the latest software by going to Settings > Software Update
- Try removing your current fingerprints, and scanning more than one option via the Add Fingerprint option.
