Email accounts on S21

Hi - please can someone assist- I am reasonably techy but by no means an expert with phones and computing. I was asked today to sign in again to main email account (btinternet), and despite putting in the correct password, it wasn't accepted. I have now managed to delete the account but cannot retrieve it, says it cannot be verified. How do I get it back on my phone - it's the main thing I use my phone for!!

What email app you using anf are you able to verify that credential are correct through a browser?

Thanks both, had already tried checking the BT website, for email, which let me in no problem.
Only just now, after leaving things alone for a few hours, I tried again and managed to add the account!! I know my password was correct each time, so that's all a bit bizarre.
