I have a Samsung A18 cell phone. Based on a dispute with another individual about a previous argument, there was a text conversation of interest to me. When I went back to review the text conversation I noticed that all texts messages with this person was were deleted for approximately a month. During that month the text messages with pictures attached that were sent back and forth between this person and I were still there, but all texts without pictures between us during that month disappeared. After that month everything was back to normal with both sent pictures and text content visible. It was strange because during that month of deleted texts there were 3 specific texts that I sent to them that remained. Why did all the texts that month get deleted expect for the 3 specific texts that I sent during the argument. It does not make sense to me and I can't understand how it would have been possible for that person to be able to delete from my phone. I called Samsung and they said that it could have been the rule that deletes texts after a certain number of recorded texts, but they could not confirm either way. It might be possible but then why would 3 messages from me not be deleted when the rest of the batch that month was. Is there anyway to find out how the texts were deleted and when they were deleted? I don't care about the recovering the texts. I just want to know if someone remotely removed messages from my phone. Thanks in advance to those that have read this.
