Contact shortcut

How do I put a contact shortcut onto my home screen without the orange contact icon in the corner ? Many thanks

You can add a contact shortcut from the widgets panel

Yes but they have a orange contact icon in the corner. I don't want this as some of my contact shortcuts don't have the small orange contact icon

The icons cannot be removed when you add a contact to the Home screen via the Widgets.

You can instead add People Panel to the Edge Panel and add contacts in it. When you click on a contact in the People Panel, it shows you options - call/message.

@MattyBobbyBall You can enable Edge panels by heading to Settings > Display > Tap Edge panels > Toggle the switch ON > Panels > Tick People > Tap Edit at the bottom of the People option > Select the contacts you'd like to add. You'll then be able to access them by swiping from the right side of your screen > Swipe again to access the People panel > Tap your contact and you'll be able to see a message and call option.
