Gallery Photo Assist feature not working properly - S23 Ultra 6.1.1 update

Today the new software update dropped for the Galaxy S23 series in the EU and I tried the new Photo Assist in Samsung Gallery. However as seen in the attached video, the buttons are not being displayed on the screen. I can do tilting and zooming by controlling some of the black area where the buttons should be but it's not functioning as it should.

Possible fixes I've already tried:
- Installing a different version of the Gallery application (the phone did not allow this).
- Clearing the phone's system cache through the recovery (did not work).
- Clearing the Gallery app cache in the system settings (did work exactly once, after which it returned to not working and won't work a 2nd time even after clearing the app's cache again). 

Picture help & Drawing Assist settings are enabled in the Galaxy AI system settings. 

Anyone experiencing this as well and found a fix?

Thanks for your response, it started working after a 2nd Google Play System update for August was released and installed a day or so after posting. I'll keep an eye on this and should the problem return, I'll post a bugreport.

Interestingly, I found out that the feature works when airplane mode is enabled while starting to use it. When you then disable airplane mode again the feature becomes fully functional. So it really just trips up on the very short 'checking for updates' that happens when connecting to the servers. Not the intended behavior...

Thank you for yout message and feedback. Via the Samsung Members-app you can also send in an error report to my colleagues of the R&D department. They can investigate this and when this can be resolved by an update this will be rolled out as soon as possible.
