Right now, august 19 in 2024, I do have this problem as mentioned by "adsjc" on june 3 in 2022 with as title of his original topic: “Can not connect Onedrive to Samsung "My Files" app.”
.
The error that I get using app MyFiles (15.0.04.5) to move (or copy) a file to OneDrive is: "Error occured. Try again".
I'm using an unbranded S24 Plus in The Netherlands (Europe) with the patchlevel of august 2024.
.
Point 1:
- When performing a new activation of the app MyFiles to reach OneDrive I do get a question allowing this app to communicate with OneDrive. As expected this question.
- After this in my Microsoft Account I can see what acces is allowed to all apps. For MyFiles I see: "MyFiles can open OneDrive files and edit them, including files that are shared with you".
.
Point 2:
- I installed app File Manager Plus (version 3.4.4) and upon connecting with OneDrive I do get a question again to allow File Manager Plus to have acces to OneDrive.
- After this in my Microsoft Account I can see what acces is allowed to File Manager Plus: "With File Manager Plus all OneDrive files for witch you have access can be read, created, edited and removed.
.
My feeling is that MyFiles is missing the correct access rights to place a file -thus create a file- on OneDrive.
It seems that not having the correct access rights is caused by the fact that the MyFiles app from Samsung is not asking the correct rights to get the desired access to OneDrive.
This worked before, i.e. one of the monthly patches from Samsung could be involved.
.
I don't have a workaround, i.e. in my Microsoft account I can't modify each allowed access, you can only delete them.
.
What to do?

Things changed:
1. I previously accepted using and buying the app File Manager Plus as solution for this problem.
2. Right now, august 27 in 2024, a new version of MyFiles 15.0.05.33 became available.
- It seems as if this version of MyFiles is asking for or getting the sufficient rights to write (new) files to OneDrive.
-> So yes, this version solves the actual problem as I described above.

Hallo @EOALMER,
Thank you for your message. It is best that via the Samsung Members-app you send in an error report to my colleagues of the R&D department. They can investigate this and when this can be resolved by an update this will be rolled out as soon as possible. Let me known if it works.
With kind regards,
Ajay

In the Samsung Members app, below Support / Send Feedback I asked the same question as above, i.e. explaning the situation and asking how to get the MyFiles app working with the correct access rights inside OneDrive.

Via the Samsung Members app I did have a longgoing chat with a technician and it looks as if my Microsoft Account settings are preventing to give the app MyFiles full access to OneDrive right now. As a workaround I now use the app File Manager Plus, i.e. this app does get full access to OneDrive.
Right now Samsung's internal ticket MX-15491 is being worked on, i.e. this issue is still open.
