Hi!

Currently, many people are contacting Samsung Support about an issue with some applications crashing. The reason for this is a Google update. Samsung has forwarded information about the issue to Google, which are now working on a solution.

For now, the solution we recommend is to uninstall Google updates. This can be done in 2 ways - by going to settings or through the Google Play app. Below are two ways to do this.

  1. Open "Settings"
  2. Select "Apps"
  3. Then select "Google"
  4. In the upper right corner, select the three dots icon
  5. Select "Uninstall updates"

Or:

  1. Find and open the "Play Store" app
  2. Search for "Google"
  3. Select "Uninstall"*

*Only the application update will be deleted.

UPDATED:

Google has confirmed that they already took a proper action to prevent any inconvenience that consumers might experience.

But if you did experience the problem you should clear all data of Google app’s storage for proper device usage according to Google’s guidance.

- Settings > Apps >Google >  Storage > Manage storageCLEAR ALL DATA

If the symptom continuously persists after clearing all storage data, please do Force stop of Google app : Settings >Apps >Google >Force stop

Let us know in the comment section if this worked for you! 😊

Haven't experienced any problames at all, everything updated as far as I can see. But good with workaround. Generally clearing app cache does wonders! :smiling-face:

Great to get some feedback! It should be solved by now - but I will keep this thread open in case anyone still experience issues 😊
