WW90TA046AE/EU Washing Machine issue?

Hi guys,

Brand new machine, less than a week old - installed on Saturday, it has now started turning off - mid-cycle. The door remains locked and the machine wakes back up when you press power. Seems a bit odd? I suspect a machine fault unfortunately...

Any ideas or anything to try before escalating?

Thanks!

Something certainly doesn't sound right somewhere, and I've scoured the user manual to see if I could see anything that might shed some light, but was unable to find anything. Fingers crossed the replacement will be as it should be! Let us know how you get on, but in the meantime, apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

That seems strange, @slipd! Is this happening on all washing cycles? Do you see any error codes when the Washing Machine stops?

Hi @ChrisM - no, it's a weird, possibly intermittent one... tried at least 3x different programmes and they've all demonstrated the same kind of behaviour; the wash starts fine, time remaining displayed etc., but at seemingly random points during the different washes, the machine stops and the display goes dark. The door remains locked and if I press the power button or the start/pause button, the display comes back with the current remaining time and carries on where it left off 🤔

Definitely doesn't seem right. I spoke to a Samsung agent last night and they offered me an engineer visit suspecting a fault, but the machine is only a week old. The merchant (Argos UK) I purchased it from have booked in an exchange for Tuesday (25/7) because it is under 30 days old.

I've done a wash this morning and it completed fine - maybe my constant watching of it spurred it on? I think that's only 2x different washes that have completed though - the rest have all stopped at some point and required manual resuming with the power button.

We'll have to see what the replacement is like. It's a shame because it's a great bit of kit!
