WW90J5456FC/EU W/M washing has a loose drum

Our about 5 year old WW90J5456FC/EU W/M started to make a noise when spinning and it also happened to damage / shred the door seal.

So as there was some movement in the drum we changed the bearings. I am not sure whether they had gone completely, but there was some rust on the inner one.

What we also noticed was that there was movement between the inner metal drum and the outer plastic one. This movement came from the area where the metal drum is pushed into the plastic drum in the centre. The metal was wobbling in the 6 glide channels where it is pushed in the grip it firmly, just ours is not gripped firmly - red arrows.

Can I re-glue the inner metal drum into the outer plastic drum?

The metal casing has separated from the plastic rear part of the drum. We decided to change the back portion of the drum. This improved the operation to virtually the original condition. When we inspected the back drum we noticed that the metal drum had ground deep into the plastic casing and it would not have been much longer before the outer drum would have exploded.
We were very surprised and quite alarmed that a washing machine that was supposed to be of quite good quality with the reputation of the brand name Samsung had such a catastrophic failure after just over 4.5 years despite good maintenance and moderate use in our household.

Sadly no way to get in contact with Samsung customer support.

@Rad1o: It is not advisable to attempt a repair on your washing machine yourself, as this should be done by an authorised Samsung engineer. With this in mind, if you are based in the UK, please follow the link below, select 'Home Appliances' and follow the on-screen instructions, and you can arrange an inspection from here.
