We purchased new Samsung washer/dryer direct through the website in December last year to replace a 10-year-old model that had worked well and been trouble free, we assumed that a new one would be as good but are sorely disappointed. The washing is now badly creased after spinning whatever spin-speed is set, this never happened with the previous machine. Several conversations with customer service but no joy apart from being told how to calibrate (already done), how to load and not to overload, very patronising indeed. Far from satisfied with the new machine or customer service and not happy with the threat of incurring costs for an engineer to check whether or not it’s working correctly even within the warranty period. Will not be buying another Samsung washing machine and certainly not through the website.

hi there . without the risk of coming over as patronising 😁  - you might be able to eliminate the creasing by ruling out a couple of things.

Are you indeed overloading the washing machine? when you fill up the drum with washing do you leave plenty of space at the top of the drum with space of a hand (not flat but turned sideways) ?

Do you remove washing from the drum as soon as the wash cycle is finished or do you leave them lying there in the drum?

are you using the correct wash cycle to the garments you are washing - many cycles have a drum action that are gentle and reduce creases for the type of the clothes , or are you using the incorrect wash cycle (easily done)

Is the creasing being caused by the wash cycle or the drying cycle - as a test of elimination try a wash without a dry . spin to 800rpm and remove the clothes immediately after the wash cycle has finished - are they creased?
Then try a dry (dont forget on dry you cannot fill the drum up as much as a wash , so say if you have 9kg of garments in the drum for a wash .... you cannot dry 9kg of washing on a 9kg washer dryer, you have to take some washing out and then dry. your washer dryer could be 9kg wash and 5kg dry - if you overload in the dry cycle the clothes cannot tumble properly through the warm air inside the drum and can dry creased.

on your particular samsung washer dryer, when you are  drying does the drum rotate both ways all throughout the drying cycle? (auto reverse/anti tangle) - if its of the design where it only goes in one direction all throughout the dry cycle that would cause creasing and tangling (I hate the design of them ones these days where they dont auto-reverse through the drying cycle)

you could try putting a couple of these dryer balls (the hard plastic ones, not the soft tennis ball looking ones) in a drying cycle to see if the clothes come out less creased. If you are going to be washing and drying in one load it wont hurt if you put them in with the wash at the beginning and let them stay in there for the drying cycle.

You could try these things and see if your clothes come out less creased.

Thanks Andy for your offer of assistance
Having spent at least the last 10 years using a previous Samsung washer/dryer without this problem, we are aware how to load and how much to load. The wash programme is not the problem. This machine has never been overloaded and the washing is always removed immediately. The dryer is seldom used and only for certain items and again is not overloaded. The drum spins anti-clockwise when spinning, drying and calibrating. 400 to 1400 spin speeds have been used but make no difference to the amount of creasing. All of this has been discussed with customer service at length hence my overall dissatisfaction.

ah right - and you are using the correct programme/cycle according to what you are washing yes did you say? so if its like delicates or shirts , then you are setting the cycle accordingly, not just using a cottons programme?
