The buttons don't light up on washing machine WW90T534DAW

I have seen plenty of youtube video's where in operation the soft touch buttons on the front of the machine like the 'o' and option buttons light up (have a backlight) but on the one we got (WW90T534DAW) the buttons do not light up at all, and i am just wondering why?

Thank you for your reply Steve but the button wok absolutely fine and as they should do. its just I have seen video's on the net where the buttons have a backlight but this model I have does not seem to have it
