Terrible discount offer in the context of environmental impact

I have just received a 15% discount if I buy washing machine and tumble dryer.  Compared with outdoor drying in the fresh air there is no machine that will ever be more energy efficient.  As we as a nation and world community strive to reduce our carbon footprint it is irresponsible of these large manufacturers to be encouraging more energy usage through such a targeted offering

Solar power is a thing. We only use the washer dryer during daylight hours. When it's over 95% humidity outside good luck getting washing dry
