Prewash ‘currently not supported’

I have just purchased a Samsung WW10T684DLH_WH, advertised by the vendor as including a prewash function. However, when trying to select this, it states ‘currently not supported.’

I have set both auto dispensers to ‘off,’ so their respective levels should not affect this, and I have browsed all the preset wash functions, and none allow prewash as an additional function.

Can someone advise how I can get prewash to function on this machine, as it was an important feature in its purchase. Many thanks

According to the manual prewash doesn't feature on your model:-

Quick Drive (WW**T7***** model only)
You can reduce the overall washing time of the selected cycle settings.
Quick Drive may not be available for certain cycles.
1. Select a cycle and change the cycle settings as necessary.
2. Tap .
3. Turn the Navigation dial to select Quick Drive, and then tap .
4. Tap and hold .
Prewash
You can add a preliminary washing cycle before the main wash cycle.
1. Select a cycle and change the cycle settings as necessary.
2. Tap .
3. Turn the Navigation dial to select Prewash, and then tap .
4. Tap and hold .
Intensive
For badly soiled laundry. The operation time for each cycle is longer than normal.
1. Select a cycle and change the cycle settings as necessary.
2. Tap .
3. Turn the Navigation dial to select Intensive, and then tap .
4. Tap and hold

The quote from the manual you’ve given refers to quick drive, not prewash.

In point, I AM able to add ‘intensive’ to washes, so the limitation of features to WW**T7***** models only would both according to the manual, and practically, only refer to Quick Drive.

I know diddly squat about washing machines and obviously misread the manual. I'm sur someone better informed will pick this up.

Unfortunately I know diddly squat also…hence the need to post here. I do know that it’s supposed to do it….am just struggling to work out how!! Urgh

Ok solved it!!! For the benefit of anyone following this thread in the future.

The WW10T6***** does support prewash, however it has conditions.

Not on the following cycles: wool, quick wash, delicates, & rinse+wash..

To use prewash - you have to use liquid auto detergent, and set up auto dispense the auto detergent (volume of your choosing). This will allow you to enable the prewash in the additional settings, as long as you don’t use any of the cycles named above
