Oven not reaching temp

Hi all - looking for help on this if anyone can.

I recently purchased a NQ5B5763DBS as a second oven. When using any of the oven functions it never actually reaches the set temp. If i put it to 180c when the oven says it is ready its actually at 125c. 30 min later it hits 160, the hottest it will get. If I turn up the heat it gets a bit hotter but it is not linear: 200c gets to 165ish and again says it is at temp when it is only at 125c.

The other Samsung oven I have is a dual flex and the oven thermostat that I am using shows exactly what the oven shows as the temp, so I believe that the thermostat is correct. This oven is definitely not hot enough, i have now had 2 roast dinners almost ruined because it does not cook as expected.

The temp discrepancy holds on any oven function (convection, fan assist, air fry)

I have had a repair person out, they said there were no faults reported, but replaced the element and thermostat, but the problem is exactly the same.

Is this how the oven is expected to work, is it mainly a microwave and not reliable as an oven? What else could  be at fault? I am extremely frustrated with it as my Dual flex oven is great but this one is almost useless.

There seems to be a basic seal, nothing as substantial as the Flex oven though.

@Members_1J68S6L: When manually selecting a cooking mode, a default temperature is assigned to each mode e.g. Convection default temp = 160 degrees Celsius. To manually adjust the temperature turn the dial until the desired temperature is displayed on the panel, then press the dial itself to confirm. Well yes. Obviously. Set the temperature.

If you read my problem then you would understand that my oven is NOT REACHING THAT TEMPERATURE.

Please read the problem before pointing out the absolute obvious.

If you can tell me why my oven does not reach the temperature it claims to be at then that would be helpful.

Hi.  I’ve got exactly the same problem with my week old nv7b5740tas dual cook oven - set it to 180 in convection mode and at best it gets to 160 and stops heating, it’s always about 20deg lower than it’s set even when I whack it up to 210 as I did this evening, (and like you I’m also correctly setting the temperature to be different to the default!).  I know mechanical thermometers can be a bit flaky however the low temperature is reflected in what I’m cooking…at the moment nothing more daring than roasted veg, I daren’t try baking!  Currys are sending a replacement tomorrow so we’ll see what that brings…
