Microwave nq50h7235as - control lighting

We have just bought the above microwave.  Whilst the display works fine, the control buttons around the display (on, off, +30sec etc don’t light up and can only really be seen with a torch.  My question is, are they supposed to light up?

Sorry it's been a while. Did you manage to get an answer on this? It doesn't look as though the control buttons do light up, but we can send this off to our Domestic Appliance experts to confirm if you like?
