Jetbot+ cliff sensors

Hi,

I've had a jetbot+ now for a month or so, it's a great bit of kit but it's now giving us some trouble.

I keep getting an error saying the cliff sensors on the underside of the robot are dirty and require cleaning.

When checking the underside of the machine, they hardly seem dirty at all, give them a wipe and it seems to be ok again.  I now have this error come up most times the robot goes out.

Its being used on hard floors which aren't exactly dirty.  Seems they are over sensitive.

Any suggestions?  Thanks

@Alsun: I had a look in the user manual, and it only suggests that the cliff sensor should be kept clean for operational purposes. Have you tried checking the docking station to see if any matter has accumulated there that might be getting on to the sensor?

we had this problem with a brand new unit. We discovered that the problem was bright sun coming through the windows causing harsh shadows which confused the Jetbot+ resulting in the cliff sensor error message. We closed the shades and all worked perfectly!

Thanks,

That does make sense, it only gets stuck in an area where we have floor to ceiling windows.  Unfortunately we don't have window shades!
