Freezer leaking

I have a samsung american style fridge freezer (without the ice dispenser) - RSA1SHPN.

The freezer compartment leaks water every few months. I know how to clear the blockage of ice, but it is a pain having to do it every few months. i would loke to find out why this is happening ?

I watched some american youtube videos on how to stop this. Apparently there is a repair kit which contains a metal like probe which clips onto the defrost heater at the bottom of the freezer. This probe has a pointy end which enters the drain hole, ensuring it does not block with ice. However never seen this in my freezer or any other UK freezer ?

I was wondering was I missing this piece from the start and should I purchase one of these repair kits ?

It might work. I had a engineer come to fix my fridge freezer a few times cos of ice blocking up a drain hole. He did fix a metal wire and cramped it to the heater to help stop it blocking. It worked, mine fridge is Lec model from the UK. It's one of the hacks they can use.
