My ecobubble WD80J6400AW washing/dry combo just gave error 5c - drainage issue. I drained the hose and removed the drain filter and found a black rubber band stuck in there. No clue what this is or how it got there. Does anyone know if this is part of the machine?

That is quite strange @Blablablablabla

Is the error code still showing on the washing machine?

That rubber band is actually a drive belt that has come off inside the machine, not sure how it ended up there though. Either way the machine needs looking at by an engineer

I found that too but when i looked it up I am not sure - most images i see of drive belts are much larger. This rubber band has a similar diameter as a tea mug.

Have meanwhile completed 1 drying sequence and 2 washing sequences , so it's a mystery whether this thing in fact belongs to the machine or not and where it came from

I was thinking the same thing, as it does appear quite small. You can however get in touch with our Product Specialists on  0333 0000 333, as they'll be able to shed some light on the matter.
