The instruction booklet for your Samsung Washing machine advises to clean your drain pump filter at least 6 times a year of lint and anything else that is caught up in it - but a good idea is if you have a Samsung Washer that tells you on your display panel "perform auto drum clean now" after 40 washes then I think this will be the Ideal time to also unscrew your drain pump filter and give it a good clean if it needs it.
I took ours out today and give it a good clean and rinse under the tap - also remember a dirty drain pump filter not only can make machine empty slower and ruin the drain pump it can also make your washing machine smell bad!
