I have a Samsung fridge freezer purchased in Carrefour in Torrevieja in August 2017. It has started tripping our electrics and from what I can see it is the compressor which has a 10 year guarantee. Firstly, do I approach Carrefour as the retailer or Samsung as the manufacturer as it is outside the normal retail guarantee period.
Also, do I have to pay a domestic appliance engineer to confirm it is the compressor?
Please tell me how I should proceed.

Home AppliancesI can only speak for the stipulations set out in the UK.
Here a consumer is instructed to contact the seller of the item as it is them that apply the warranty.
Obviously you would need to check your own countries selling Terms and Conditions.
Samsung are always on hand to help however and would be available to provide guidance.
I wish you all the best.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help.

Home AppliancesI contacted Samsung as it was a Samsung guarantee and well past the store's obligations. It wasn't the compressor, it was the cooling system within the fridge. I was advised it was usually the fridge part that failed as the door is opened more regularly!!
