I have ice collecting at the Bottom of the freezer, does anyone know the cause? Also, I plan to fully defrost it, is there a recommended timescale to do this effectively?

Many thanks in advance

it could be set slightly too cold to collect ice at the bottom of your freezer.... as for defrosting.. a hair drier and some towels is an effective way of defrosting. start from the top and work down.

you should defrost your freezer atleast every 4-6 months if it's industrial or atleast every 12 months if not. for the ice forming your temp might be too low or you might have too much moisture in the items you are freezing

your fridge freezer will work fine if you give it plenty of ventilation, if it's not ventilated, the motor goes into over drive, and that's what causes ice build up give it about 3 to 4 inches of space all round especially the motor compartment
