Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone can advise how to proof the bread ? Normally you let it rise overnight and then again for another couple of hours. So when using the microwave how does that translate?

thanks for any advice.

@Rufus : Please confirm the model number of the appliance you're referring to, and I will look into this further for you.

Thanks for the model code @Rufus ! I think that page 23 on this manual would help you with this: https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201702/20170218124441673/MC28M6055CK_EU_DE68-04444F-00...

Hi Tess, I’ve looked at that but didn’t know how the times compared eg is using the proofing in the  microwave the equivalent to overnight proofing? Must say I’m not finding the manual very helpful. 🥴

So sorry to hear that this hasn't helped. Yes, that should do something close to overnight proofing. Keep in mind that as the water continues to steam in the closed microwave, it creates a warm, humid environment, similar to that of a bread dough proofer. The warmer and more humid the air is, the faster the bread should rise.
