Purchased a NV9900J Chef Collection oven a few weeks ago. Yesterday being Christmas Day it was time to cook the turkey.
The turkey weighed 5kg and I selected the auto cook, placed the meat probe into the breast, filled the water tank and hit the start button.
I was expecting around 2 to 3 hours cooking time, but after just 55 minutes, the oven beeped and told me my cuisine was ready!
The meat probe had registered 90c and the turkey looked cooked. I probed the breast and legs and juices were running clear.
Being a little cautious, I cooked the turkey for a further hour. It was delicious and maybe a little over cooked.
Was it really cooked after just 55 minutes? How does auto cook with meat probe actually work?
