After working out we need to refuel our energy levels and what better way to do this than to prepare ourselves a healthy snack! A healthy diet and good habits are as important to us as the exercise itself as it helps your body to recover quicker after a workout.
Here are some of our tips and recommendations!
Load up on this after workout:
Protein: Is made up of amino acids and the most important nutrient for the body to get stronger.
Carbs: Is the main source of energy and is very important in order to perform well and for your body to recover after the workout.
Water: It is also very important to drink properly to maintain your body's fluid levels before, during and after workout.
Check out these healthy snacks to prepare after your workout:
·Acai bowl topped with nuts, seeds, peanut butter and berries.
·Yoghurt smoothie with banana, mango, berries and oats.
·Oatmeal topped with berries and milk
·Rye bread with some protein rich topping like cheese, egg, nut butter or cottage cheese.
·Banana pancakes
·Nuts, dried fruit or a rawfood bar.
