ZFold 3 - Does the S Pen work on the front screen?

Should the s pen work on the front screen. 

Mine works fine on open screen but not at all on frong screen.

Just confirming for you that the S Pen only works for the open/main screen and not the front/cover screen.

Why in the world would you make it NOT work on the cover?  That's where I need it the most.
