Hi all
My Z flip3 has been switching itself off since last software update have to keep it plugged in to use I'm disabled and rely on my phone can anyone advise me please.

Did you wipe your device's cache partition and repair apps after updating?

Thats not good at all  !

Does your battery show that uts recharging and does the % rise ?

You can run the diagnostic tool found in your Samsung Members App if clearing the cache as advised by @ironass does not resolve the issue. 

Ensure all your apps are up to date and so is your phone. 

As a last resort back up and factory reset. 

You may need to let a Samsung Service Centre have hands on if this isn't resolved at home.
