Pre ordered the ZFold 7 at the launch traded in my S22 Ultra. Had the phone a little over a month and then noticed the middle of the inner screen was darker  one morning. Halfway through the day the middle of the screen had what appeared to be cracks running up and down the screen. By the end of the day the inner screen has now become a black screen that no longer works. Had this thing for 35 days and it has lived in a OtterBox case its entire life. I wish I would have never gotten rid of my Ultra. Got told my technical support that this is considered physical damage and is not under warranty.16170.jpgIMG_20250828_122944.jpg

Best to contact Samsung Customer Support and book a repair.
Should be able to get it sorted quickly.
Will give them a chance to investigate the problem with the screen

Cannot imagine that happening with no impacts to the device, looks bad.... Being a forum for customers to customers not a lot we can suggest besides requesting an investigation

What case are you using, many of these TOUGH types kind of squeeze the device, but your first picture looks odd, never seen the lines like that.

Otter box case. Had just the factory screen protector. I also found another post on the members of people with the same issue.

Similar issue here,Upon unfolding the device  I experienced a flashing screen, a solid white crease down the middle of the crease and intermittent fault with the touch screen working.

Phone has been in a Spiegen Case (Purchased from Samsung),has had a screen protector on since 1st use and not been anywhere near water or liquids or been dropped in any way.

Experience with Samsung customer services was poor, went through the troubleshooting guide on the Samsung website, faults kept occurring after resetting my device. Got on the phone to Samsung directly passed around To 4 different agents who had poor English language skills.

I requested a replacement to be sent given the nature of the fault and was told this was not possible. Advised to book a repair at a Samsung store ( nearest one 1 hour away) or wait until 3 weeks for a home repair visit  despite the galaxy premier Z service which offers " fast track support "!

Keen to understand how promptly and what resolution they offered ? Did they repair the device for you or replace it in the end ?

You're not alone! Identical thing happend to mine yesterday morning.

Almost a month old so rushed back to Samsung Kings Cross where it was purchased on the 17th of August and requested a refund.

They did, no quibble and could see the screen was unblemished and I purchased another, identical, 512gb in blue.

Nervous now, I have had 5 Galaxy Folds and three Honor Magic V's. Sent back my Honor V5 today as I'm backing the Samsung, must be mad, only because of their eco system. In most other ways, the Honor Magic V5 was a better device.

When the screen wasn't flashing, note the black line down the centre of the screen in the image below;

Screen was mint as new and service from their flagship London store was excellent.

I insisted on full refund so at least I've guaranteed another 30 day refund if this fails too. Not impressed, so I've since purchased a 24 month Samsung phone warranty in the event of screen/phone damage (even though I've never felt the requirement to do so on my previous NINE foldables).  I even had the excellent Huawei Mate Fold 11 and two Samsung Flips with zero problems. With this latest Fold 7, I am no way as confident....

Click below for a video recording of the actual failure, filmed on a brand new Honor Magic V5 - which was perfect!! :
