I'm having problem with sim slot 2 after software update, originally was working fine with both sim inserted, after software update sim slot 2 is not working any more

sim manager gray out sim selection when 2 sim inserted

sim slot 1 works fine with both of my sim card while only 1 sim card on slot 1

sim slot 2 phone complains no sim insert but have single icon, while only 1 sim card on slot 2

software version F936BXXS1AVJ3 / F936BOXM1AVIG / F936BXXU1AVIG

That's not good at all @Members_wW4bdpD

Assuming the sims work OK in another phone.

Although I'm not confident this will work try > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.

If nkt try Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict.

If all else fails do a back up and factory reset.

I wish you all the best. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Hello,

Thanks for your suggestions, and I found only the last suggestion works, which is to hard reset the entire phone. It backs to normal after master reset.

You're very welcome @Members_wW4bdpD  👍

I appreciate a Factory Reset is a last resort but it is a broad sword to resolve most issues.

Take care.
