Ultra Foldables (Z Flip 7)

What is everyone thinking of the new foldables, specifically the new Z Flip 7?

I'm personally loving the new cover display design and how the screen wraps around the cameras.

I'm considering purchasing one in perhaps black or the online exclusive mint colour in the August month, or maybe September.

Has anyone else already got their hands on one to try recently and what're their experiences with it on hand?

Do you think there's anything major to consider before buying and is it worth it?

As they are currently in pre-order most won't have seen them let alone used them.

A couple of the Samsung Members Stars were at Unpacked 2025 in New York who may have a view for you.

They are really cool and very capable. Compromise is on cameras Vs flagships but that's typical in this form factor.

The new bigger screen is excellent 👌

I have tried the new Z Fold7 and I am impressed with the new design, especially the weight and thickness of the device. The camera is good but not as good as the Galaxy S series. The crease is also better when compared with previous generations. My personal favorite is the black color, but scratches are easily visible. My experience is limited, though, as I have used the device for only two days during the Unpacked.

Sorry but I don't like it, they have done exactly what they did to the S25 Ultra, removed the S pen, this is a phone which unfolds out to a mini tablet, why remove it. I was going to swap my ZF6 but definitely not now, not at all, neither am I going to upgrade my watch 7 ultra to the watch 8 Ultra or classic
But that is my only drawback in getting one, love my S pen to much, hate thumb drawing, S pen can pick out my details, even when going over a document and highlighting or circling
Hope you enjoy your ZF7 but I do hope the S pen will be brought back with the ZF8, or if they are making a tri fold, they need to make sure it has an S pen.

Years ago phones were judged on thinness and size, I would rather they keep it the same thickness as my ZF6 and have the mag safe, maybe a bigger battery, S pen usage main and cover screen and whatever else techy they can squeeze in. Within a few years, phones will probably start getting smaller like credit card size, just like back in the day. I just hope Samsung don't go down a silly route of removing everything from a phone just to make it thinner, and plus the ZF7 doesn't have 5 x zoom, yet again due to it's slimmest

I'll still always be a loyal Samsung fan, even if it means holding on to my ZF6 for longer that I planned (2yrs) which falls next year when Samsung does their next unveiling

And please Samsung, let's also get better than IP48, I do love the sea which sometimes does include sandy beaches 🙏
