Speakerphone not working when my fold 3 is shut (they can't hear me. turn off speakerphone and they can hear me) I've not tried it with my fold open.
Any obvious reasons someone can suggest?

how strange! Is this happening with all the calls? If so, have you tried to check if the microphones are operating correctly from the Samsung Members app> Get help> Under Diagnostics press Start> Mic> You will see some steps on the phone screen, please do follow them and let us know the results.

I'm able to use the speakerphone when my fold3 is closed.
I assume your not using any launchers etc.
Can you put the phone in Safe Mode and then see what happens.
As a last resort back up and factory reset but only as a last ditch option,
If it continues then let a Samsung Service Centre take a look.

HI IM HAVING SAME ISSUE IVE EXCHANGED MY PHONE 3 TIMES THIUGHT IT MIGHT BE A FAULTY BATCH UVE DONE EVERYTHING FROM FACTORY RESET TO DIFFERENT NETWORK IM CURRENTLY WITH NETWORK THREE AND ALSO HAVE AN EE SIM IN THE PHONE TO BOTH HAVING SAME ISSUE ABSOLUTELY GUTTED WITH THIS EXPENSIVE PHONE TO PASS QUALITY CONTROL WITHOUT BEING NOTICED ONLY OPTION HOPEFULLY A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO RESOLVE ISSUE JUST HURRY UP SAMSUNG WITH THIS SOFTWARE
