Sim error message

My galaxy fold is playing up it keeps

Saying no sim when There is a new sim inside it works fine when it is laid flat but when I open it up or turn the phone face down that's when problem occurs plz help

Hi @galaxyfold!

Can you check if there's any damage to the SIM tray?

Also, try wiping the gold contacts of the SIM gently with a soft clean cloth and re-inserting it. Check if your Fold recognises the SIM upon reboot.

I can't see any damage to sim tray and have tried wiping gold contact,rebooting does work until I turn phone face down or open it.

No worries! Is your software up to date? Head to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
