Is there a reason why a security policy would prevent using/enable Dolby Atmos on a z Fold 3?

I don't recall doing anything out of the ordinary other than updating the device a few days ago by apply the November 1 Android security update. I can't seem to turn it on in settings.

A security update shouldn't affect that setting @twospirits on a phone with stable software.

However I see from your signature information that your on Android 12 - One Ui 4.0 so If your on Beta for Android then these updates can come hand in hand with issues sometimes that can break things. You may need to wait for the next scheduled update.

Is it still available in your pull down shade as a toggle ?

When you navigate in the phone's settings is the toggle greyed out ?

If so there's quite a few posts if you Google search Samsung Dolby atmos greyed out.

Some generic tips you can try are >

  1.  Soft reboot by turning the phone off and on.
  2. Clear your System File Cache via the instructions in the Samsung Link. You may need to hook upto a computer or insert your headphones to get to the recovery menu. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/
  3. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ disables downloaded apps, themes and other launchers to help determine if one or more is causing conflict.
  4. Back up and factory reset as a very last resort.  ( don't do this if your currently on a Beta software )

I wish you all the best with this situation.

Thanks. Clearing up the cache fixed it.
