Opened phone at lunch today and heard a slight crack; middle of screen dead about 1 cm down the fold.  Big screen on but not responsive to most touch gestures.  Bought this after much research and samsung promise of 200k cycles.  I am a light phone user compared to what I see around me.  Disappointing considering it is 500 to repair, and I'm 15 months into a 36 month purchase through Verizon

Samsung apply a Manufacturing Warranty to cover issues not created by accidental damage @Friskers6825

Have you submitted the phone to a Samsung Service Centre for assessment ?

Also check any relevant insurance you may have with your network or any outside insurance such as Home Contents Insurance etc.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Submit for a warranty claim.
Only if,
1 - there is no damage to the hinge area marks/chips
2- the factory protector is still attached onto the screen and has not been removed.

If all okay get it booked in for a warranty repair.
