I am tempted to get one of the z flips however my question is about the screen crease over time.

- How long till the crease looks severe like the pictures I see online

- Is it the screen protector that cause the crease or the actual display itself and if it were to be replaced does the crease go

- Can you put another screen Protector on it for the screen to be more secure?

Just 2 small questions for a possible buyer of one 🤔

Bit of a mixed bag really.
Some have had problems with mostly the screen protector.
I know 3 people that have had the Z Flip 3 since launch and still with the original protector and no issues.
The protector is easy enough to replace if need be and of course a Samsung service centre can do this as well.
It's definitely not advisable to put another protector over the one on there. In fact I think it specifically mentions that in the warnings.
I had a Z Flip at one point before going with the Z Fold series phones.
I think getting the Care+ cover would be advisable.
I guess over time like any screen protector, they need replacing at some point.
But not sure why some have problems with theirs.

Hi @Pixel45

I have had the Fold³ since release.

The internal factory fitted screen protector delaminated so I peeled it off.

Replacements can be purchased from places like Whitestone Dome etc or one can ask Samsung to refit a new one.

I use mine without one now.

The ' crease ' itself has not had any deterioration at all.

The crease is created by the way the phone folds so is part of the manufacturering.

The display itself is a softer material to allow the folding of the phone.

You cannot fit a secondary screen protector over the factory fitted one. It would probably affect the sensitivity of the touch screen.

I wouldn't contemplate removing the original one unless delamination occurs.

I'm very happy with my phone albeit its the Fold and not the Flip.

I have colleagues at work who have the Flip³ and Flip⁴ and there very happy with the phone.

I hope that also helps in conjunction with the excellent advice from @Glenntech  👍

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
