One UI 4 lock screen controls - Z flip 3

I recently updated my phone to the one UI 4 android 12 and all the controls for music are dead, i use spotify to stream music on my phone and relied heavily on the lock screen/front screen controls and now they are dead and useless.

Is there a way i can go back, updates are supposed to improve a product - not remove functions for no reason.

My first Samsung phone in years and this is my experience 😕

Hi,
Try below

Go to Settings,
and tap Lock Screen,
Then tap Notifications.
Just find the Widgets option and set the Lock screen and Always on Display
to the Music controller
And once you have
Spotify playing
It will show on the Lock screen

Hey, so ive tried the details you listed and options are set as described already, they were working before the update perfectly fine but not any more - it just shows the "default" music system and not spotify.

I tried the details in the link but the "3 dots" required to click are no longer there - probably because this is a one UI 4 issue and one started since the update.

I have the same issue with youtube music and also the record function now doesn't work unless I open the phone...
