Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

Sorry to hear of your issues with your Flip.

Sounds like a case for Samsung Customer Services and the repairs team. You can find their contact details on Samsung.com

Is there ANY damage to the device itself (however tiny)? If yes Samsung may refuse to cover under warranty.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

Hello @bloxy and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

I'm sorry to hear your experiencing these issues with your Samsung Flip⁵ phone 😔

I would agree that the phone does need to be assessed via a Samsung Service Centre  / Samsung Experience Store if you have passed any relevant cooling off period.

If your within the cooling off period { check with whom you purchased the phone from  } in the Uk it's two weeks if purcahsed directly from Samsung.

Then ask for the phone to be swapped out.

If you do need to have the phone assessed via Samsung then also take time and date stamped photo's of the phone to show it's aesthetic condition, and one of the water indicator which is typically visible in the sim card slot space.

Taking it to a Samsung Experience Store is preferential.

However if it need to be posted then send it in an  adequately sealed box with a nite inside clarifying the issue and apply good in-transit insurance.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Samsung Repairs will require that damage to be fixed first before they consider warranty.

It is possible (based purely on what I've seen in this forum) that your warranty claim may be rejected due to the damage you mention.
