I'm using my Fold³ with the adaptive setting activated and everything is smooth.
But we all have different apps etc so this could be a contributory factor in some way.
Put the phone in Safe Mode and then see what happens.
Put the phone in Safe Mode which disables your downloaded app's but let's your stock app's keep working. If the issues stop then this highlights a downloaded app as the possible issue. Perhaps let a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre take a look.
