I pre ordered the Galaxy Z Flip5, which arrived today, to my dissappointment they have sent me the one with the 256 GB storage where as the offer was if you pre order before the 31st of July you will be given the 512GB for the price of 256. So, I rang Samsung and they fobbed me off saying that I ordered the 256GB, which is not true, as I am quite sure I ordered the one with the 512GB storage. Just checking if someone else have had the same experience, I feel Samsung never meant to dish out the 512 for the same price of 256, It was perhaps simply an advertising tactic to test customer interest. If, that is so, I am truly disappointed in Samsung as I have been a great fan of Samsung products and I believed it to be a reliable company of good standing, but to resort to such cheap advertising tactic for such a big company is very disappointing and perhaps will cost them some loyal customers, not that it matters to them!

Definitely not a marketing gimmick
You have to select 512gb when ordering the phone.
The discount will be applied automatically

I have the 512gb Z Fold 5 for the price of the 256gb

Thank you for your response. I did select 512 when ordering, not sure what happened? When I spoke to Samsung today, I explained all that, but they simply said I can not avail that offer now as it was valid only until the 31 of July. I perhaps expected them to be understanding and exchange the phone to 512GB, they were simply blunt and said the offer was only until the end of July, If I don't like it, then to return the phone, perhaps that is not what I expected!

Do you have the confirmation email, as that will show on what you had selected?

According to the Flip 5 page, “Pre-order the Galaxy Z Flip5 512GB by 10/08/23 and pay the future price of the Galaxy Z Flip5 256GB.”

So you are well within the time window.

But as previous poster has suggested you need to see what your order confirmation email says. If it says 256 then you’ll probably have to return it and re-order.

Thanks again, yes I do have the confirmation email, which just mentions the model number ( SM- F731BZAGEUB) and no Spec. Obviously just the model number and it says 1xGalaxy Z Flip 5, pre-order, Ships on 04 Aug 2023, nothing else.

As long as you clicked 512gb and have an email proving you ordered 256gb then it's their bad. If you don't have the email or you clicked 256gb it's your bad. It is a bit daft they give you the choice obviously you will want 512gb if it's the same price but guess that's just they way it is.

The model number corresponds to the specific model I.e the 256gb will have a number and the 512gb will have a different number

Sorry to burst your bubble but you order 256gb if you look on Sammy website where the G is on the model number on the 512 model it's a H

I am 100% sure I clicked the 512 as that's one of the reason why I wanted the upgrade as I'm running out of storage on my current phone. I did explain all this and sent Samsung the confirmatory email which gives the model number, how is one supposed to know that is the model number for a 256gig storage one. They had no answer, the callers reply was, if you don't want it, just return. It and that's it! I felt not only they have messed up with my order, but the attitude was terrible. Sorry guys but it really upset me they were simply not bothered, although I had ordered right and paid as well.
