Galaxy Fold 2 Hinge

I've had the Fold 2 for 2 years now and it has performed very well. It is in great condition as well. A few days ago, put of the blue, the phone no longer opens completely to it's 180 degrees flat. It open just short of the flat to around 175 degrees or so. I cannot see any issues or debris in the hinges opening, and the phone has lived in a case since day 1. Any solutions to fix this would be most appreciated?

Hi Zee000. I used a piece of paper to gentle insert into the gap and move it up and down. It managed to move the thread out a bit so I could grab it and pulled it out quite easily. My phone has been perfect ever since.

My zfold2 has the same issue. On one side of the hinge I noticed a black sticky skinny tape (with threads) which i pulled and luckily it came out in one piece. Unfortunately the one in the opposite side got stuck in the hinge and doesn't let the phone unfold. It's a very common issue and Samsung doesn't take any responsibility of the specific design issue. They are asking for 370usd to fix mine and all the say it is that it is out of warranty.  Meanwhile though they state that the phone is guaranteed for 200,000 folds/unfolds before any issue occurs. 

I believe they should fix all zfolds with the specific issue for free no matter if the phone is more that 1 year old. 

A complaint must be initiated with a possible lawsuit. It happened before with other samsung products and must be done for the zfold hinge issue, especially since it is guaranteed for 200,000 folds/unfolds.
