Fold for hinge replacement

I dropped my fold4 and the hinge has got few dents on it 😫😞 can it be replaced???

I have a happy update. Although my experience with samsung over the phone and the EE repair centre they suggested was terrible and extremely unhelpful i decided to take one last shot and travelled 100+ miles to the samsung experience store on Oxford Street. There i actually received great customer service for the first time since this happened. It took a while to sort as they didnt have the parts at hand but they recognised this fault was not mine in anyway and repaired the hinge and replaced the batterys free of charge. The reason that the hinge is so expensive to repair is that its made as one unit with the internal screen. But they sorted that free of charge and posted it back to me so i didnt have to make another long trip.

So my advice in future is if you have an issue. Do not call samsung, go straight to the experience store on oxford street where they actually help and treat you like the loyal customer you have been for years!

I had just insane service from samsung staff Westfield stratford london .
Everyone knows problem with fold4 heinge and samsung doesn't what to know about it . Nomore dealing with samsung anymore .

I bought samsung galaxy fold 4 from giffgaff at the end of 2023 and after 1 month the phone stopped fully unfolding. Giffgaff refused to fix it. Unfortunately there is no place in the UK to find justice including ombudsman. Contacted ombudsman but wasted time.

I closed my flip 4 and then come to open it and couldn't.  I hadn't moved the phone it was on my desk! 

Sent it for repair and they want to charge me for a new screen - even though the screen had absolutely no damage at all. Phoned them to ask why i was being charged £339 and was told that as my outer casing had scratches on the hinge plate - normal wear and tear as cases dont cover this part that my warranty is void! 

The screen isnt damage but im being charged and the hinge just stopped opening. I have always had samsung phones as do all my family and never had an issue but this is disgusting! There is clearly a problem with the hinges and Samsung areusing pathetic loopholes to get out of fixing them. My phone is 1year and 6weeks old! so just out of the 12month screen warranty. They wont wont fix my hinge unless i pay for a new screen which isnt broke!

I am truly sorry mate as it seems your problem is much worse. I have managed to sell my fold 4 and overall lost about £120 plus a lot of stress and time. And as mentioned before will never buy anything from samsung as they are not only unreliable but still money from their customers. They sell faulty phones. I have written over 10 very negative reviews online and youtube to make sure they will lose customers.

Even my zfold 3 hinge started with same problem randomly

As my phone did not had any physical problems, I was told to contact samsung executive and after 2weeks he gave me option of 50% copayment for repair charge

I denied it and i am planning to start a lawsuit

Let me know if anyone is willing to join

Will get an invoice for hinge repair cost breakdown from the service centre today

Its their problem that they have attached hinge to display and they never mentioned about it anywhere

And now that their faulty hinge is creating problems but they want us to pay for the display replacement 

It would be helpful if more people is willing to join to create a lawsuit
