Fold 4 inner screen shut/ black

After updated one ui 6.1.1, my inner screen got issue. Front works fine.

Situation:

Once restart, i can unfold and the inner screen turned on for 30-40 sec. Then shut down as well as the front screen. Then fold it, after 30 sec, front screen turned back on but no sound. Inner screen keep black. After restart, it happens as above again.

I saw some posts here having same issue and said about the hardware problem. I dont think so. If there is a hardware issue, the inner screen cannot be turned again. But i can do it againa and again.

Anyone suffering this issue? Thanks.

I would try wiping the Partition Cashe on the phone
See if that helps

Turn off your phone.

Connect your phone with a USB cable To PC or another Samsung mobile

You will see the charging icon on your screen.

Wait till it shows charging with battery percentage.

Next, press and hold the Volume up and Side key simultaneously.

You can press the volume up button just before the Side key.

The Samsung Logo followed by
Samsung Galaxy appears on the Screen.
At this point, release the keys
Phone will boot into Android Recovery mode

In Android recovery mode, using Volume keys, choose “Wipe Cache Partition” .

Use the power button to accept that.

You will then see its cleared.

Then the top option, reboot phone.

Press the power button to reboot the phone and then sign in normally

Yes i tried. And also factory reset as a new phone. But same.

Well the only thing you can do is send it in for a repair
A factory reset will remove all data. So it's got to be some sort of hardware problem

Not hardware problem, i still can turn on inner screen for 30 sec, everytime reboot.

Its 100% a software issue.

Yes, agreed. So i dont want to send my phone to them.

Im just waiting the next update come out but seems they delayed. If not fix after next update, i will go iphone after.

I seem to have the same issue, although I'm not sure its software? Watching a video last night then the inner screen just goes black!

Turned it off then on again little white flash then nothing. Went through all the self help Samsung recommends and still nothing. Now I have had the phone since 2022, but I am still paying for it through Samsung (5 payments left) .

Phoned Samsung today and they tell me its a chargeable repair WTF. and they want to charge me £30 just to look at it. 

It is a well documented fault and they won't do anything about it. I have now risen it as a complaint as you can bet your bottom dollar it would be cheaper to buy another fold 4 2nd hand than pay for a repair.

If this doesn't get sorted for free. I will finish paying for the phone and never buy another Samsung product again. and actively discourage anyone I know to do so to.  😞
