Hello @samuel343, for anything costing this amount of money I would be seeking some protection. I was lucky and had the free Samsung stand and spen option. If you need to send it back to Samsung for any reason the less scratches marks on it the better your chance of a favourable repair outcome.
At home I take the case off. But going out somewhere or going to work. A case is a must. It's an easy phone to drop, and being that expensive. I personally wouldn't take the risk
