Enough is enough.

Despite what Samsung says in response to user complaints, the crease/crack along the fold of our Flips and Fold phones ARE a common problem irrespective of whether occuring within the 1st year of ownership or shortly thereafter.

Let's call it what it really is: A component defect.

It's very disappointing, irresponsible and dodgy of Samsung to deem the issue as 'user damage' to evade accountability and foist hefty repair costs upon the user.

How many of you flip/fold owners have worn the burdensome frustration and inconvenience of having your phone fixed in the early days of ownership? How many of you have felt you've had no choice but to pay for Samsung for the repair, or, write off the cost of your phone entirely and buy a new more reliable phone to replace it??

The crease/crack in my phone appeared out of the blue through absolutely no fault of my own. I know I am not the only one.  Laying the blame at my feet is utter rubbish.

At the very least, a smart phone should endure 3 years of good use.  Not 2 weeks, 6 months or 1.5 years.

Even if Samsung says that the phone was broken because of ‘user damage’, one must look at the structural integrity of the phone itself and question how it could so easily be damaged by users so early on in the phone’s life.

For those of you out of pocket for a repair and/or the cost of an unusable phone plus a new one, let's band together and launch a worldwide class action lawsuit against Samsung for this issue and get our money back.

Who's with me?

I know they've been other community members who've complained or mentioning class actions elsewhere within the community (I among them) so i think it's time.

Enough really is enough.

Please respond here and to any other post regarding class actions on this website and elsewhere to further this cause.

I am surprised and find it odd that a law firm is unaware of this issue. I wonder what the percentage of defective screens is to the total number of phones sold? If the rate is significant and Samsung does not do a recall and restitution, then undoubtedly, one or many competent law firms would organize a class action. I would imagine that Samsung would estimate that this problem would disappear and get swept under the table. However, I wouldn't say I like that I was forced to spend additional money to get another phone after about 16 months of ownership. However, I do not see many likes on this or other similar posts, which would strongly indicate a high percentage of defaults. What do you think about my comments?

I have the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 512GB and traded it in with the defective screen for an S23 Ultra. The Samsung Agent told me that this was a common problem and that I would receive the full $660 credit, for which I saved a screenshot of the reply and a copy of the chat log.

I'm from Malaysia and my flip 3 died on me after 1.5 yrs. Samsung once again claims it's the users fault and is charging me about USD 250(MYR 1000) to replace the LCD. How are you planning to proceed with your class action?

I'm from the UK and have a Z Flip 3, my cousin has the ZFlip 4. We have now both got a crack going across the fold and my phone is the oldest at 13 months. Samsung will not take responsibility for it and just said that its new technology and good information for technology going forward. What am I meant to do with that. I'm now left with a phone that is totally worthless and nearly a year left on my phone contract.

Well, Samsung honored the promised $660 trade-in value for my Z Fold3 with the defective folding screen. But the phone is only 1.5 years old, and I paid $1,800. So I lost $1,300 in value? I think they should have offered me a much better refund for the defective product they sold me. If we could find a litigation lawyer specializing in corporate malfeasance to view this thread, do you think they would initiate a class action lawsuit?  And how do we find one?  Or how can we ask Samsung for a refund so they can avoid costly litigation?

Yes, unless Sasung is willing to fully reimburse me for the loss of my defective Z Fold3, I am in favor of promoting a class action lawsuit.  How do we secure a a law firm who would like to pursue this matter?

I bought my Zfold 3 in January 2022 , did not last 5 month and I start seeing small Cracks where the inner screen folds,  I called Verizon because I bought my phone from them in USA they send me a replacement which refurbished  looks like new but guess what this one did not even last longer and the cracks starts appearing on it too when I called them , they told me that I have to call Samsung to fix it as my warranty  is expired January  2023 , what a bummerand offcourse it will cost me around $400  so now I recieved a security update on my phone and I found that this update has nothing to do with the phone software ,it is kind like disclaimer  letting me know that I cannot go to court to dispute or sue Samsung without having  insteas I can have arbitration with Samsung  and they are giving me 30 days to opt out of this disclaimer  so yall watch out .

There is actually a legal class action suit in USA against  Samsung  for the Z fold 3 phones screen issue  look it up on the internet.
