Woke up one day and I had a dead internal screen and then later noticed a slight smell/fizzing from the hinge area. Sent my device off 30 days ago.
I've been phoning support who are functionally useless and say "It usually takes 11-14 days but our terms and conditions do say it can take longer", which basically means forever as far as I can tell.
I phone the 3rd party repairer that Samsung uses who is somehow equally clueless/helpless despite having the phone.
Nobody can tell me wtf is actually going on with my device and when I might get it. The latest update I'm getting today (day 30) is "We're still inspecting". This is on an £1800 phone. An absolute clown show.

Samsung do have a timescale they try to turnaround a Repair however contributing factors such as when they received the phone through transit , the repairs needed to be completed before yours on other people's phone'sand tablet's etc, engineers working hours , parts needed and if they are in stock, and the nature of the repair can all play a part.
I hope you get some good news soon.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Same here. Sent my fold 4 on Sept 08 and told this week they cant repair due to no 'green' parts available for 2 more weeks so will be a 30 day+ repair cycle. They offered to use some black parts instead!!! so i am without my device for a month at least . Seems to me these phones are failing so often they cant keep up with repair kits

It's been so long since i had the phone in my hand that I can't remember what colour it was. But I'm kind of glad to hear i'm not the only one in this situation it just sucks that Samsung are so bad. Apple would have given a loan device, just saying.

Yeah like I said, their timeframe is 11-14 days usually but can take longer (i.e. indefinitely) which is pathetic.

I agree it is pathetic. In cases where prolonged repair time (>30 days) you would expect a loan device
